Meet King! King was surrendered to us through no fault of his own when his previous family was no longer able to care for him. This big love bug has spent the last month in a foster home, which has given us the chance to learn so much more about what he's like outside of the shelter!
King is 9 months old, fully house trained, very food motivated, and loves to learn. He's an energetic, playful young guy who loves running around and chewing on his toys, but one of the things his foster loves about him is how well he's able to settle down in the house. He's incredibly sweet, loyal, and loves being close to his people.
His foster has also been working hard with him on his leash skills. King can get very excited and focused on other dogs and people while out on walks, but he's made great progress with consistency and training. He's a big, strong boy, so he's looking for someone comfortable handling him and excited to continue working on everything he's learned.
After getting to know King better and introducing him to several dogs, we've decided he'll be happiest as the only dog in his future home. King is a big, enthusiastic puppy with a very rough-and-tumble play style that can be overwhelming for other dogs. Being the only pup will allow his family to focus on King and continue building his skills without having to manage those interactions at home!
King has come such a long way during his time in foster, and underneath all that big puppy energy is an incredibly loving boy with so much potential. He's looking for someone willing to keep putting in the work-and in return, you'll get one very devoted best friend.
