Meet Luna! Luna has come a long way since being rescued by one of our partners on the reservation. When she was first rescued, she was emaciated, anemic, and fighting two tick diseases. After being nursed back to health in a foster home, she was transferred to Coconino Humane Association, where she has been waiting for a family since the end of January.
Despite her rough start, Luna is a social dog who loves people and gets along great with other dogs. One of her cutest habits is hoarding her toys in her crate like a little dragon. If you are looking for an adventure buddy, Luna would be a great fit; she loves to be active and is a fan of hiking and trail running.
Luna walks well on a leash, though she can pull a little at times. Because she is still young, she would benefit from continued socialization and an adopter who can provide some structure and training. While she can get excited around cats, she hasn't shown aggressive behavior, so she could likely live with feline friends given an experienced adopter and a proper introduction. Luna is so ready to meet her forever family, come meet her!
