Age: 1 year old, male..

Weight: 15 pounds.

Health: Healthy, scheduled to be neutered

Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, initially timid/shy, at bedtime or crate time, Pico can be quiet/mellow, high energy, playful, social, curious, occasionally vocal, people-oriented once familiar.

Likes: Playing tug-o-war, fetch, snuggling, being held, sitting in laps!!!!, car rides, walks!!!!, belly rubs, baths, men & women, giving kisses, children, dogs, cats, stuffed toys, stuffless toys, chew toys, burrowing under blankets, wrestling with a dog his size.

Dislikes: Unfamiliar surroundings (needs a few minutes to investigate), scared at first at the vet's office, and then he warmed up, timid with strangers at first, can be hesitant with new experiences, will bark at loud noises, will not accept oral vaccines, and has had to be given an injection.

Manners: Housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, verbal commands (sit, come, go to bed (crate)).

Yard Requirements: Pico would enjoy a fenced yard so he can play games, explore the yard, and collect sticks.

Tidbits:

Pico's journey hasn't been easy. He's been passed from home to home, and while each meant well, none could give him the consistency and care he truly deserves. Now officially part of the BTRNC family, Pico is ready to settle into a forever home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and understood.

This bouncy boy is full of energy and affection. He loves long walks, games of chase, and curling up in your lap for a nap. He's housebroken, crate trained, knows "sit," and comes when called. He's also working hard on his leash manners and improving every day.

Pico can be a little unsure in new situations. He may bark at strangers or unfamiliar noises, but give him a few treats and a little patience, and he'll be your best friend in no time. He plays well with dogs his size and thrives with gentle guidance and plenty of lap time.

He's smart, sweet, and wants to be part of your world. If you're looking for a spirited companion who'll stick by your side and fill your days with love, Pico is your guy.
