Hi, I'm Marty - a handsome little tabby who's equal parts shy sweetheart and curious explorer!
I had a bit of a rough start, so I can be nervous when I meet new animals. Dogs are definitely too scary for me, and when I first arrived, I hissed and ran away from the other foster kittens too. But once I realized they weren't going to bother me, I started to cuddle, play, and join in the fun. I still get startled sometimes and might hiss if a kitty sneaks up on me, but I recover quickly. With a patient, gentle home, I know I'll continue to blossom.
Even though I'm anxious with animals at first, I love children and feel very safe around them. I enjoy being petted, cuddled, and included in the fun.
When I'm relaxed, I'm a silly, energetic boy who loves to zoom, pounce, and explore. Give me a crinkly paper ball, a wand toy, or just a cardboard box, and I'll turn it into the best game ever. After I've burned off my energy, I turn into a total cuddlebug who just wants to curl up and purr.
I would do best in a calm home with kind people who understand that I need a little time and patience to feel safe. Once I trust you, I promise I'll be your playful, loyal, loving little buddy.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we're closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays
