Adoptable Cheese is chirpy, biscuit-making, and proudly snack-obsessed. At 4 years old and 13 pounds, he came to BARCS after being found wandering on his own in need of care and shelter. He'll greet you with head nudges and little meows like you've been friends for years. He enjoys gentle affection-especially head pets-has good litter box manners, and loves treats with a passion that borders on poetic. When he needs a break, he lets you know-it's just "mee time for Cheese."
While in a foster home, his favorites things to do are eating snacks, grooming himself, eating snacks, chasing hair ties, eating snacks, rummaging through the garbage to try to find snacks. He loooves to be near people and will follow you around the house! He doesn't love to snuggle yet, but we get closer and closer every day. His foster parent's favorite memory is, "Every time he shows me he trusts me just a bit more! He'll let me hold him for a bit longer, scratch his belly, curl up just a little closer day by day. He is a very sweet cat, but timid, and watching him open up is so lovely." The best home for Cheese will be with someone who will respect Cheese's personal space.
Cheese is FIV+ and FeLV+, so his adoption fees are always waived through BARCS' "Positively Adoptable" program. Come say hi and see if he's your match-you might just become each other's favorite friend.
