Reggie is a lively and spirited pup who embraces every moment with enthusiasm!
Reggie is about 2 years old and found his way to us after being transferred from a shelter downstate. We are still learning all of Reggie's quirks, but what we do know is that he loves his people, enjoys squeaky toys and really loves his treats! After arriving, we found out that Reggie is heartworm positive. After seeing our vet, we were able to determine that his heartworm levels are pretty low, so treatment will just be making sure that he gets a monthly de wormer that includes heartworm preventative. Part of Reggie being heartworm positive means that he cannot run or do anything that involves strenuous activity. He can go for relaxed walks with no problem.
Reggie is still young and learning his manners, and will often jump with excitement when meeting people. This is something we are working very hard on and he is slowly learning to respect your space. Reggie walks pretty well on a leash, needing a bit of correction when starting out, but settling down quickly once he gets going. He also knows how to sit and we are working on other commands with him, he seems very eager to learn!
Reggie would do best in an only pet home without young children.
