From Gibson's foster mom:
"Our foster angel, Gibson, is a sweet and loving 1 year old puppy with a very gentle demeanor. Gibby currently lives with our three pups; two bully mixes and a mastiff. He gets along with all dogs, but no cats please. He loves to be around his people and knows to be gentle with kids. Gibson loves to spend his time outside, sleeping in the sun, chewing on bones or playing with his foster brother & sister. For the most part, he is well-behaved while hanging out in the yard, but he does have to be watched to make sure he isn't getting into any mischief. Best of all, Gibson is fully house trained and will stand by our backdoor when he needs to go outside. We do give him lots of praise to ensure this behavior continues.
Gibby is food motivated and highly trainable. He has already learned to sit before meals and before getting treats, he knows the word ‘drop-it' if he finds a slipper or sock and it is very easy to redirect him. He is also a puppy that can entertain himself if his people are busy, but he does like to stay close and get his belly scratches. He does very well sitting with our pack to get treats and will sit and wait for his turn patiently. Gibson currently sleeps in his crate, but he definitely wants to sleep on the couch or in his dog bed instead.
One of our favorite things about Gibson is watching him explore the world; everything is new to him. He loves to go on car rides and stares out of the window or just sleep. He runs to check out any new noises in the house; the washing machine or dryer, the ice maker or the dishwasher.
Gibson is looking for a forever family that has a yard and he would love another playful pup to spend his time with. He needs a family that will understand that although he is calm for most of the day, he is still a puppy and he has bursts of energy a few times a day. We take him for one or two walks a day and we play fetch in the backyard in the evening. Gibby is very good on the leash. He doesn't pull, even if another dog is coming, but he does like to rub against your leg during the walk and he can get startled if a car passes behind us. He is much more confident when he's walking with his foster brother or sister.
Gibson deserves a family that will love him as much as we already do, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or to arrange a meet and greet."
