Meet Buttercup!
Buttercup is an absolute sweetheart that comes with a few quirks...
- She's able to scratch her own belly by doing "the worm" on the ground.
- She is the queen of sound effects and tends to grunt when she's happy, hungry, anxious, craving attention, or pretty much any other emotion. At first, this can seem like aggression, but she's just a vocal cutie! However, she never seemed to actually bark.
- She doesn't seem to know anything about in-house life, and was especially confused about the following: stairs, TV, carpet, human food, washing machine, water hose, furniture, and doors.
Buttercup desperately needs a home to come out of her shell a bit more. She appears to be housetrained but did have a few accidents whenever she got scared (slipping on the stairs, door opening too quickly, etc.)
Buttercup appears to be a full blooded German Shepherd about 5 years old. She is dog-friendly and kid-friendly but will need a SLOW introduction if they're very energetic. She truly needs a kind, PATIENT, gentle, and affectionate home to learn to trust again.
Please reach out to Berkeley Animal Center for a meet and greet with Buttercup!
