Pua is a sweet and affectionate girl. She is still getting used to her new surroundings at the shelter, and can be a little scared and nervous. She is a "go slow" kind of girl, and will need time and patience to come out of her shell. She loves to cuddle, and walks nicely on the leash. She enjoys being outside on the trails.
Pua spent a few days in a temporary foster home, and we learned so much about her.
? Pua is the BEST cuddler around. She wants to get as close to you as physically possible, and will lay with you for hours on end. She is 45 lbs of pure love and adoration.
? Pua loves her human with every fiber in her body. She will be your shadow and best friend ever!
? Pua is a goofy goober. She loves to play with toys, but does it in her own silly way - she's a very funny girl!
? Pua is crate trained and even gets excited to spend time in her crate. She has no issues when left alone in the crate - no crying, barking, etc. (in fact, she rarely ever barks!). As much as she wants to be your bedtime cuddle buddy, she'll sleep in the crate with no issue.
? Pua is very cautious in public. She follows her nose and loves smelling all the fun smells, but she would really thrive in a place with minimal chaos. Regardless of her nerves, she's easily redirected on the leash. And she's already begun showing more interest in other dogs!
Despite Pua's battle wounds, she's still the prettiest girl in the world! Pua came to BARCS as a stray with some injuries (seen in the pictures), but that can't stop her. She is a resilient girl and will trust you with her whole heart.
Pua has met other dogs at the shelter. She was uncomfortable and would prefer to be your one and only dog at home.
