Nelly is not to be missed! She is a bit shy but warms up quickly and enjoys some nice gentle pets from her people. She seems laid back and polite with staff since she's been here. She came from a large group seized from poor, crowded living conditions. We of course know she has done well with other cats in the past, however we are uncertain how she would do with dogs or children. It's important to allow for slow and proper introductions to any new people and pets she might meet in the next home. We hope you'll come in and meet Nelly and get to know this sweet gal! Nelly has been exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but currently tested negative for both. She should be isolated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance on re-testing options. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care.
