I am a foster to adopt pup because I tested positive for heartworm. If you're not familiar with heartworm, fear not the disease is not contagious, meaning that a dog cannot catch the disease from being near an infected dog. Heartworm disease is only spread through the bite of a mosquito. The treatment for Heartworm means that I have to really limit my activity and keep my cool vibes for the next 8 to 12 weeks. If you take me home, FMAR will be with you at every step of my treatment!

I am spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care I have received.
**Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit.
