Souix Falls was found stray and not reclaimed. He weighs 50 pounds and is estimated to be 2 years old. He's goofy and sweet and already a staff favorite. His distinctive wide set eyes not only make him even more adorable, but we also think that it may be a greater on-going neurological issue that makes him a little unsteady on his feet, but doesn't require medical care, it only contributes to making him even more loveable. He does struggle to read cues from other dogs and simply wants to play so needs another dog who is understanding of that.
His unique traits don't require any ongoing medication or treatment but he is extra special, and extra loveable as a result of his exceptionalities.
In our house we say, "I am just a human with some quirks, rescued by my shelter dog with some quirks," and I would say that sweet Sioux Falls fits into that philosophy pretty perfectly.
Sioux Falls is two years old, and is just about as gentle and sweet as they come.
Sioux Falls went to an off-site and did great with everyone he met including kids. He was a joy to be around and just entertained himself by playing with his toys and had no potty accidents.
If you are a human with some extra love to give, Sioux Falls will make someone very happy, I can promise that. Apply today
Leash Manners: not bad on leash
Basic Commands: Sit and down
Cat introduction in a controlled environment: no reaction
Good with dogs? has been in several play groups and does extremely well. If he does not feel comfortable with a dog he is not confrontational, he walks away to handler. He is a little reserved with taller exuberant dogs .
