Do you love the soothing sound of a harp? Purr! The strings of my heart are waiting for just the right person to come along so I can play beautiful music. I'm Harper, an orange tabby and white, adult male who was found at Woodridge on Second Apartments in SW Rochester. Hisses can be music, too, although maybe not the kind most people like to hear. When I hissed, it meant I was nervous, but I've come a long way since I arrived at the shelter back in February. I'm a handsome boy, I do very well in my colony room with other cats. I seem to prefer the female cats, and I'm frequently cuddled up with Quincy and Pepper. Say, you know what? They're sisters who'd really like to be adopted together, but would they like a brother? You'd love three cats, wouldn't you? I don't fight with any male cats, but I do get a bit sassy with them sometimes. I like to play quite a bit, but I am quite easygoing too. I love to watch the tweety birds and furry squirrels at the feeders outside the windows. I'd probably do best in a home with older children, and adopters should please be aware that I will need time to adjust to my new home. It is recommended that you give me at least 2 to 4 weeks to adapt at my own pace. My lovable personality will emerge, and you'll see what a wonderful cat I am. You'll see that Harper strikes all the right notes!
