Take it from his foster mom: Bistro is truly one of the sweetest, silliest, smartest pups around.

P olite and such a quiet boy. Definitely not a big barker!

E asygoing and generally defers to his person. He's so patient!

R espectfully waits to go out. Totally accident free!

F riendly. He just wants to be friends with people/dogs he sees on walks!

E ager to please and a super quick study!

C razy for kisses and belly rubs!

T reat motivated ... but leaves people food alone, even if it's on the counter!

He's a champion sitter! He sits without being told before eating, before getting his leash on, before the gate gets open, and before getting a treat. He's also mastered shake and is learning "down," "stay" and "watch."

He should be named "shadow" because he loves being close to his human and follows his foster mom around the house. But he also stays home alone for a bit each day, and has not shown signs of separation anxiety.

He's also such a sweet baby! He cannot get - or give - enough kisses and loves to just nuzzle against his human any chance he gets. This boy has so much love to give!

He still has some leash learning to do, but he's made a TON of progress after just three weeks in foster. He's now a champ at standing to the side and letting people pass on the narrow sidewalks and has learned that he can't be besties with every dog he sees. He displays absolutely no leash reactivity at all. He does have the urge to chase squirrels, but after just three weeks in foster, he is getting a little bit better each day at being redirected. Consistent, loving leash practice is all he needs. And HE IS SO WORTH IT!!

Truly: anyone who adopts this boy is in for one of the best dogs they could imagine.

Kid Experience: Unknown.

Cat Experience: Unknown. He has no reaction to cats in windows but has an urge to chase rare strays if he spots them.

Dog Experience: He loved rowdy playtime with his pals at BARCS, and really wants to be best friends/play with every dog he encounters on walk, but is currently the only dog in his foster home.

Bistro is currently in a foster home until he finds his forever family. Please email dogfosters@barcs.org and complete an application to be connected with his foster family.
