Chimera is a very spunky, fun, intelligent little dog. She has lots of energy and is a bouncy girl who is always thrilled to see you! She prefers to be right by your side while she plays. Once she runs out of energy, she turns into a cuddly lap dog.
Chimera gets along well with cats. She likes other dogs and loves to play with them, but it does take her a few days to warm up to new dog friends. Chimera is nervous around younger children. She would likely do fine with older kids as long as an adult facilitated their introductions and made sure to take things slowly. She has made friends with the 5yr old in her foster home, but it was a process that took several weeks.
Chimera is house and crate trained. She is capable of getting over a 4ft fence and has attempted to dig under fences as well, so she should be supervised in the yard. She will typically want to stay in the yard with her people, but if left unattended, she becomes curious about what is on the other side of the fence. Chimera had never worn a collar or leash before coming to rescue. She is beginning to get the idea, but could still use some practice with going for walks on a leash.
