Hi, I'm Benny! I'm a good boy who is looking for an experienced and active owner who will give me proper training, socialization, and exercise. It took me quite a while to settle in after arriving at FMAR as a stray. I was very scared and didn't trust people. The FMAR staff and volunteers understand that I need slow introductions to new people and they are helping me with my confidence. Once I get to know you, I love belly rubs and cuddles!
Since I have a lot of energy, I'm looking for a home without cats or children under 12 years of age. I might like a dog brother or sister as long as we have a slow and proper introduction.

I am neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care I have received.
**Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
