Looking for a fiesta friend? This fun-loving girl is Quesadilla!

This sweet girl came into our care, not even a year old yet, when her owner passed away. There was no one who could take her in, so an animal control officer was called to the scene where they found her hiding under the bed. Our staff and volunteers have loved seeing Quesadilla come out of her shell, but hate that she has been growing up in a shelter environment.

This high-energy little lady is now estimated to be around a year and a half. Quesadilla enjoys cuddling up with volunteers and splashing around the baby pool in the play yard, but we'd love for her to find a forever family this summer! She went to a foster home for a couple weeks for a much needed break from shelter life. While in the foster home she quickly learned the commands sit and stay. She even learned the special spot to sit when coming inside to get a treat (regular routine with the other dogs) very quickly. She's a really smart cookie! Quesadilla was around other dogs in this home and did well with them. Quesadilla is very friendly meeting new people. She can be jumpy when excited so she will likely do best going to a home with older kids or children who are used to a high energy dog. She loves playing with toys, stuffed toys seem to be her favorite, even if they do not last very long. Quesadilla is crate trained, she does prefer a wire crate. She does well in her crate all night or while her foster is gone. Quesadilla loves being outside especially with her people. She would really enjoy having a fenced yard (or doggy daycare several times a week) so she can run, chase balls and play in her pool. She would do well with another high energy dog.

Quesadilla has faced so much change in her young life that we hope she can find a wonderful, active foster or forever home that allows her to settle in and live her best life!
