Meet Dazzle
This beautiful young pup Dazzle and her sister had a very rough beginning. They'd been starved and uncared for most all of their young life. Thank goodness they had each other. Since arriving, we've been working with each of the sisters to build their confidence and show them kindness.
Dazzle is thought to be a cattle dog mix, given her beautiful blue eyes. Sadly, right now her eyes are mixed with pain and uncertainty. They bore through your heart, making you want to do everything you can to take her pain away. She is small in size and our vet expects that she and her sisters will remain small. She is about nine months old and just precious. She's not what we'd call brave, but she is trying so hard. Our staff and volunteers spend time with her to show her that hoomans can be kind and gentle. Dazzle, after a bit of time spent with someone, will lean into the kindness and roll over for belly rubs and some snuggles. To see her cower initially is heartbreaking though. We can only imagine the scary and uncaring world she's experienced
until now. Dazzle loves her sister and other dogs. She relies on Misty to give her the confidence to come out of her kennel, but will follow Misty anywhere and loves to play in the yard with her.
Dazzle will make for a wonderful and loyal dog, but the person who adopts will need to have infinite patience to meet Dazzle where she is. We are sure that in a little bit of time Dazzle will be able to put her previous life behind her and embrace her new world. Dazzle will need a fenced yard to safely run in. Dazzle would do well with another dog in the home, perhaps her sister, or a calm and friendly confident dog that she can learn from.
We hate to think of Dazzle's life as a tiny puppy in this great big world, not given food or water and certainly no love. But she is loved now and we're doing whatever we can to help her erase her past. Perhaps you can be a part of her future and give her a happy home filled with love.

Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has
been successfully submitted. If you don't receive this email within 24 hours, please check to
make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All
adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with
current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of
state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member
home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and

Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe
with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from
local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for
space to open.
