Friendly, but emaciated, blue-eyed Virgil was found on a golf course begging for food in 11/23. Virgil is estimated to be 10 years old with his initial vet visit confirming his "senior status." Besides being thin and having a low-grade heart murmur, Virgil was given a clean bill of health at the time.
Late on Christmas Eve, Virgil became lethargic with little interest in food. After 3 days of overnight emergency treatment, Virgil was not improving and his outcome looked bleak. On day 4 Virgil finally began eating on his own and responding to the IV meds!
To keep him happy and healthy, Virgil will need to be on medication and prescription food.
Virgil does do well in a home with other cats (not sure about dogs or kids).
