Butterscotch Sundae is very sweet and settled dog that would be a perfect companion dog for someone simply looking for a dog to be by their side, or on their couch. He's great on a leash and will walk by your side. He likes to stick close by his people, we think he feels a sense of comfort by people. He is very aware of his surroundings, which could be from what appears to be a long-time on his own in a rural setting. He really just seems to want someone to be kind to him.
Butterscotch Sundae is very resiistant to any vetting and does require muzzling prior to any vet exams. Any adopter should be aware of this component of his behavior and a sedative and muzzling prior to vetting should be pursued prior to taking him to a vet's office. He also does not like his human to do anything vet like related like putting ointment on his itchy skin.

Animal will be spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. If their kennel card on display at TAPS shelter facility is marked as unaltered, the animal will be altered prior to being released for adoption. Animal stage may change from time to time based on surgery and medical status. TAPS strives to keep kennel cards as up to date as possible with current information but from time to time, information may change and a new kennel card may be pending. Full and current vaccination schedule and medical records along with any behavioral disclosures will be provided at time of adoption.
