JJ has a ton of joy for life and his foster family thinks he could fit in with just about any household. He loves to go for walks, and he does this adorable little prancing happy dance when he's ready. He occasionally plays with toys, showing off his silly, goofy side. JJ loves scratches and affection, but he is also content just being together in the same room with his favorite people. He is a great movie or game partner since he loves to lay on the couch or the floor and just hang with out you.
JJ has been very calm and enjoys attention from adults and multiple children ages 5 to 10. He has a happy waging tail, welcoming all guests into the house. JJ has good boy manners and knows jumping on guests is not polite. He free roams in the foster's house with their resident dog and knows how to use the doggy door to do his business outside. JJ is a great house guest, always leaving things the way he found them; he is an awesome boy! He is looking for a home to spend his golden years.
JJ is quiet, with a low energy/activity level, he sleeps through the night, and can go up and down stairs just fine. Most of the day he spends resting on the couch or floor or following the foster around the house. JJ does great in the car too; he jumps in on his own and likes to feel the wind in his face. He's no backseat driver - he'd like to take control, so watch out for that when on a joy ride. He eats well and is apparently healthy for a boy his age, and he acts younger than his approximate 13 years; his foster knows JJ has more life to live and love to give.
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org.
