Hello, I'm Horton! I'm as friendly as a tail-wagging welcome committee, and twice as energetic. I am an approximately 2.5 year old male Siberian Husky Mix who has had a bit of a shuffled start to life. But here I am, back looking to open my heart to love again!

I ended up back here at HSLM after a funny mishap involving a C-A-T, I can't even say it out loud, I get sooo crazy about them. Its a long story and I really tried to change, but lets just say, I've learned my lesson about living with any small critters. I think I would do best in a home with no small animals or children around. I like some dogs, but not all, so a slow introduction to a dog pal would be required. I can be nervous with new people and new situations, especially if things are moving too quickly, but I love food (liver treats are a fave) and squeaker toys, so those will be key to our bond.

I love playing fetch, so much I could go for hours... long walks, and just hanging out. I can be strong on leash, so my friends recommend walking me with a halti or easy walk harness (front pull harness) and I will require a fully fenced backyard to run around and play in. Before I go home, a member of our Animal Health Department wants to speak to you about my anxiety at the V-E-T. I have a history of being SO VERY anxious at the vet, so I will need an owner and veterinary team who is willing to continue to work with me on this issue. Anti-anxiety medications for vet visits have definitely helped me before, so they should continue to be part of my vet routine.

If you're looking for a companion who's always up for a game and who can make you laugh, look no further. I'm ready to turn our house into a home! If I seem like a good fit for you, apply to meet me today!
