I am Chase, a German shepherd mix weighing 54lbs. I have a shy and nervous temperament, so it's best to approach me with patience and understanding. I need time to come out of my shell at my own pace. When meeting new people, I may feel apprehensive initially, but I respond well to positive reinforcement and absolutely love affectionate attention once I feel comfortable. It's important for you to go slow with me, avoiding sudden movements or loud noises that might startle me. Trust and bonding take time, so please be patient. Eventually, as I grow more at ease, I'll likely seek out affection and enjoy being petted. My shyness is just a part of who I am, and it can't be quickly corrected. But with consistent positive reinforcement and gentle encouragement, I can become more secure and confident in my environment. If you give me time, patience, and lots of love, I can become a happy and well-adjusted companion.

My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
