Stella is a 2 year old Shepherd/Heeler mix. She is a sweet dog who has a protective personality. This has caused her to exhibit what we refer to as "resource guarding". She is not an outwardly aggressive dog, but she has had issues in the past where she wasn't comfortable with the actions of a human that was in her immediate area. Stella does have a history of being mouthy to the point of breaking skin. We strongly feel that in the right environment, she will do wonderful. Stella would do best in a home with no small children or other animals. If you have an animal already in your home, we would require a slow introduction and possible several meet and greets to make sure it is a good fit. She loves walks and playing tugs and ball. Stella's adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, microchip and various other treatments. If Stella is the dog for you, please stop by the front desk or call 641-753-9046.
