A shining example of resilience and transformation! Originally discovered as a stray, Shirley's journey with us has been nothing short of inspiring. Despite her rough start, she has blossomed into a loving and affectionate companion. Upon her arrival she weighed 44 pounds, now she's up to 57!
During her time with us, Shirley has learned to trust and bond with our staff, showing us that she craves human connection and companionship. While she may have some specific needs, we believe there's a perfect match out there for her - someone who cherishes the simple joys of life and can appreciate Shirley's carefree spirit.
Shirley is seeking a home with a few special considerations, but in return, she offers unwavering loyalty and companionship. Shirley is looking for a home as the only pet and with no young children. One of our volunteers had the pleasure of spending time with Shirley on a doggy day trip, and here's what he had to say: "Shirley did wonderfully during our time together. She settled right in and made herself at home. She's a quick learner, mastering commands like sit and shake, and she's got a playful side too - enjoying zoomies and parkour off the furniture. But her favorite place to be is right by your side."
