Hey! Big Bird here, no not the yellow guy from Sesame Street...I am pretty cute in my own way though. I am a handsome young man of 11 months, and I am looking for my forever family. I am quite new to the shelter, so I am still adjusting to this chaotic environment, it's slow going so far and right now I'd rather not be messed with unfortunately. I'm now living in one of the free to roam rooms and am getting more inquisitive each day. I still think that in time I'll realize the people I see here aren't bad and start accepting their attention...I'm just not quite there yet. I get along great with other cats, and while I didn't interact with them much, I also lived with dogs in the past too. At this time, I don't think a home with kids, especially younger ones, would be a good fit for me.

While I think I would make a wonderful house companion in time, I may also be quite happy with the freedom of outdoor life. If you happen to be looking for a barn cat to help keep your pest population under control, please contact the shelter about me!

*BARN BUDDIES "Pest Control Specialists" * We have a few cats that are hoping to return to their outdoor lives now that Spring has sort of arrived! These kitties are semi social, and while they allow handling, they're not really interested in socializing with humans much, even after 2-3 months in our care. They are looking for a barn type home, with food, water, and shelter provided for their services.

***JUNE IS ADOPT A CAT MONTH***
Cats 6 months and older will have special adoption pricing for the entire month! When you're ready to adopt a cat, you'll draw a paw print out of a bucket to determine your cat's adoption fee! Prices will range from $0 to $33.
