When the going gets rough...I know, I've "bean" there too. When I first came to Paws and Claws, I was called Joan. I was adopted; now I'm called Lima, and I'm back at the shelter. I'm a small, brown tabby and white adult female who was first found outdoors in SW Rochester in mid-January. I was adopted by a wonderful couple who love me very much. The vet diagnosed me with diabetes, however, which requires me to have insulin injections and prescription food. I also need regular glucose monitoring with veterinary supervision. My people are heartbroken, but due to their schedules, they felt that the best thing for me was to give me up so that I can have a family whose lifestyle and consistency meets my needs. They said I am a smart, mellow cat. I sit up for treats (ones that are okay for diabetic kitties). I am not bothered by my shots, as long as I am eating when you give them to me. I like scratches on my chin and head, and I will play, but cuddling is what I like best. They called me a "fantastic cat full of love." Now, I know that limas aren't for everyone, but this Lima will be really cool beans for a special person, someone like you.
