Meet Lavender! This lil lady is as sweet as she is tiny (six whole pounds of cuteness!). Although she can be a bit shy at first, once she gets to know you she loves pets, playtime, happy drooling & making tons of biscuits. She gets along well with other cats & would likely do well with calm, respectful dogs as well. She would do best in a quieter home without small children for her to feel the most comfy.
Lavender has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), a condition that may affect her health and overall lifespan in the future. That being said, cats with FeLV can live happy, healthy (though likely shorter than normal) lives, and Lavender has been doing great. Because FeLV can be passed to other cats, Lavender should either be the only cat in the home, or housed with other cats with FeLV. There is also a safe and effective vaccine for uninfected cats which may be a reasonable option to protect other cats in the household.
If you're interested in adopting Lavender, we're happy to talk with you about this condition and answer any questions you might have about what to expect. Thanks for considering this great gal!
