~~Say Hello to Kane! ~~ Kane is available for adoption through our Adoption Ambassador program- meaning he is awaiting adoption in a TCHS foster home. If you're interested in meeting with Kane be sure to call TCHS and set up a meet and greet!~~This handsome boy came to TCHS due to his owner moving and not being able to take him with ~~ Kane was adopted and returned due to being too active for the home ~~ Kane loves people, but dogs- he is very picky about who he likes, so a meet-and-greet at the shelter would be required if he were to be adopted by a family with another dog ~~ Kane should only be introduced to another canine in a controlled, calm environment- for example, Kane cannot go to dog parks ~~ Kane has a very high prey drive and cannot go to a home with cats or other small animals ~~ Kane has interacted with children in the past and did very well ~~ Slow and proper introductions to any resident pets and people is recommended; ask a staff or volunteer for detailed tips ~~ This big pup has been outgoing and sweet with staff and volunteers at TCHS ~~ In the shelter setting, Kane has been quite stressed- his anxiety should be closely monitored in his new home ~~ Kane is used to having free roam of his house at night or when his people are gone ~~ He is also crate trained and comes with a large crate ~~ This playful pup also comes with a basket muzzle- this is a great tool that can be used at places like the vet ~~ Kane is potty trained and pee pad trained- his original home would lay down pee pads in the bathroom and he would use those as needed when he was left home alone ~~ His last adopter noted that he did have a few accidents while with them- his new adopter should make sure to let him outside on a consistent schedule to set him up for success ~~ This sweet boy is very loyal to his favorite people and will usually pick one person in particular to stick to ~~ Kane is very active and should be exercised physically and mentally every day ~~ This handsome shepherd loves walks but can be a bit leash reactive and may bark at people and dogs passing by- his new family should be prepared to work on this with him ~~ Obedience training is always a good idea to help strengthen the bond with your dog and to learn how to handle the dog properly ~~ Kane's adoption price has been reduced in hopes his new family can better budget for training ~~ Kane's favorite toys are frisbees, tennis balls, and Kong toys with treats in them! ~~ Loves to play fetch ~~ Kane is a BIG dog at over 90 pounds and will need a family that can handle his strength ~~ A home with a fenced-in yard and/or plenty of space would be perfect for this guy ~~ Kane is patiently waiting to meet his fur-ever family, could it be you?! ~~ Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, micro-chipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care ~~ MEET AND GREETS CAN BE SCHEDULED AT TCHS by calling 320-252-0896
