This very special bonded pair of cuteness is ELEMENT & ECLIPSE! They were found abandoned in someone's back yard. They waited a long while for their mom to return but she never did. Thankfully they found their way to BDC! They were born with an eye condition called Microphthalmia that causes their eyes to be smaller in size and shape. And as a result of a suspected untreated virus they had as babies, they have a slight eye haze. Both these things have caused them some vision impairment but they can see, just not full sight. They also developed a mild CH which causes their hind end to shake sometimes, but it just makes them that much cuter! Despite their small eyes and shaky back legs, Eclipse and Element are healthy young kittens (not on any medications)! These conditions do not affect their lifespans and their long term prognosis is a long and happy life! They have been around other nice accepting cats, dogs and older children and done well. Due to their eye condition, they would not do well in a home with young children. Of course as always proper slow intros are a definite must! They are great eaters and litter box users! This dynamic duo are just your all around purrrrfect kitties in our eyes! Eclipse's foster says "My husband calls her "mustache" because she has a little white patch under her nose that looks just like a mustache. She was the more timid of the two in the beginning but now she jumps on the bed and both lay with me in the morning while I have coffee. She definitely has more energy than Element and loves attention."

Due to COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to accommodate social distancing. Pre-adoption meetings to review adoption plans, paperwork, payment, and contracts will be done through Zoom or FaceTime.
