Liam is a 14 y/o Thoroughbred gelding who came into our program when his elderly owner was hospitalized and wasn't able to properly care for him and another horse. He was underweight, had very poor hoof condition and parasites. He and the other horse had not left the property in many years and had minimal handling after their racing careers were over.
Liam is looking for a new start, and he is ready and eager for a new job. He is sound and after being medically cleared he began ground work and round pen training. He has recently been lunged under saddle and took to it well. Liam needs an owner who has experience with OTTB's or starting horses, and he could have many years of active riding ahead with the right partner.
Liam does great in turnout with other horses and has no medical issues. He enjoys being groomed and is good for the vet and farrier.
Horse showings are by appointment only, and he is currently off site in Chardon OH.
