My crystal ball says our new rescue, Tucker, will be adopted faster than a toupee in a hurricane. He's young, fun and healthy. Cute as can be with just a hint of anxiety, Tucker is ready to have a forever home. Read on to learn more about this precious boy:

Age: Nearly 2 years old (birthday 1/16/18)

Weight: 22 pounds

Health: Excellent (but does have a sensitive tummy. Currently eating Royal Canin)

Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, anxious, timid/shy (at first), quiet/mellow (at times), active/high energy (at times), playful, couch potato (when you're on it), social, curious, cuddly, not aggressive but will not stand down if provoked by other dogs

Likes: People (including children, timid with men), dogs (more submissive (female) dogs would be best), playing tug-o-war, giving kisses and snuggling, sitting in laps, going for walks, sleeping in your bed (a must), burrowing under blankets, Peppermint Greenies

Dislikes: New situations and experiences, strangers, loud noises, vet's office, going for car rides, being picked up, quick hands/movements, unfamiliar surroundings, being left alone, being crated (will go in crate but does not like it)

Manners: Nearly housebroken, leash trained, crate trained (but does not love), knows some verbal commands

Fenced Yard Required: Highly preferred (he loves to run)

Tidbits: What does Tucker need in his new home? Someone who is patient, who can teach him that the "scary" things aren't so scary. He needs time to adjust to any new person or situation. Giving him a routine plus gently exposing him to life will likely result in a very calm and content boy. He does fine with the 3 fur dogs in his foster home, but foster mama thinks he'd be happier with a submissive female. He loves children with whom he is very affectionate. Oh, and he is your shadow. Where you go, he goes. Too sweet!

If you can meet the requirements above, please apply for Tucker here: https://btrnc.org/adoption/.
