***AT SHELTER***
Kilauea is the only female of her litter. She is not only beautiful, but also quite smart! Her first few encounters with you may find her laying in an open space watching your every move. Once she recognizes you as a safe person she will begin moving closer to you until out of the blue she wants pets. It's like a butterfly transforming! It is so beautiful to watch her grow in confidence and trust.
Kilauea is more of a grazer when it comes to meals. She likes to eat little bits throughout the day. With her feline friends, she enjoys a good chase and run game and flipping springs and balls in the air.
Kittens like Kilauea have lots of energy!!! They require ample and mindful stimulation, through play, from their humans. Their optimal development also benefits tremendously from having a four-legged companion in the home to socialize with. So, we would prefer that Kilauea go to a home where there is already a feline-friendly cat or dog in residence or be adopted with another one of his shelter friends.

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.
