Merapi is the shyest kitten from his litter. He prefers to spend time in his cubby or in the donuts & is always watching until he is ready to join the fun. Once he joins the other kittens in play, he loves exploring and jumping to high levels.

Merapi will accept pets and head scratches. Once he knows you are a trusted person, he will approach you for attention.

While a little shyer than his siblings he becomes very active and playful at night and early morning. Making night friends seems to work best for him.

This beautiful orange boy loves food. During meal time he seems to lose all inhibitions and can be found front and centre at his food bowl.

Kittens like Merapi have lots of energy!!! They require ample and mindful stimulation, through play, from their humans. Their optimal development also benefits tremendously from having a four-legged companion in the home to socialize with. So, we would prefer that Merapi go to a home where there is already a feline-friendly cat or dog in residence or be adopted with another one of his shelter friends.

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.
