Hello there, they have been calling me Rosie since ending up at HSLM a few months ago. I am one of those pups who got lost and never claimed. I don't remember much from before I was found, so I don't have much of a story to tell you. But I do know, my own person would be the dream! The vet I visited thinks I am around 2 years old, they say I am a lab mix, do you know what that means? I am 99% good girl! The one percent is because I can be a little loud towards some dogs when I'm behind a fence or on a leash. I'm not sure why. They call me "dog selective" here, because I have shown interest and welcoming body language towards young and smaller dogs but I am not sure how I would do with dog to dog interactions. I love all peoples and especially love them when they have treats, rub my belly or play fetch or tug with me. I have TONS of energy and all I want to do is play all day.

I currently walk best using a harness, as I am strong and want to explore all the different places I have never been! I have been working with the training team here to learn some manners and cool agility tricks too, I can weave and do small jumps! I may need a refresher on housetraining when we go home as I lived out on my own and then in the kennel at the shelter, so a patient person to teach me all about being a house dog would be lovely! My ideal home is with active guardians who can keep up with me, it's best if they have a fully fenced yard because I love to run and play and don't want to get lost again. A detached home in a less busy area would be best for me. No young children or cats/critter would be best as I may want to play and chase them.

If you think Rosie would be a good fit, come into the shelter to fill out an application. If you seem like a good fit for Rosie, out Adoptions Team will be in touch to book a meet and greet.

I have had some previous issues with ear infections, so a member of our Animal Health Department would also like to speak with you about keeping my ears clean and healthy before I go home!
