Ophelia is a sweet lady who is just SO happy to be near people who love her! Her tail will wag endlessly in exuberance as she soaks in all the love and affection her heart desires. If you are looking for a snuggle bug, this girl is well qualified for the job! She would be a wonderful addition to any family. She wants to play with the resident dog in her foster home, and tries to be with her if she is separated.
Ophelia is going through Heartworm Treatments through FCDS, during which time she needs to be on limited activity so her heart doesn't work too hard. This means she can't go on long walks or runs right now, or rough play with resident dogs. Calm and easy going are key for her right now as she heals over the next several months.
Although Ophelia is currently recovering in a medical foster home, she could go to a Foster to Adopt home any time with a Franklin County resident willing to guide her through her medical care until her heartworm treatment is complete, at which point she can be adopted. Email foster@franklincountyohio.gov to meet OPHELIA.
