Peony is not even a year old and has already been through more in her life than any pup should. She came to the shelter starved and emaciated, receiving medical care just in time to save her life. Peony is now a healthy weight and is able to enjoy life as a puppy should!
Peony has done wonderfully learning that there are all kinds of nice people for her to meet in her new life. She has happily made friends with people coming into the home as well as neighbors and warms up quickly. She can still be scared of large men, but show her some gentle love and kindness and she will learn that she is safe now and for the rest of her life.
This beautiful spotted princess loves to play. She has been good with kids who don't mind if she gets a bit rowdy at times! Peony is learning about house training, and is doing well in her crate when her people are away for short periods. Peony is picky about dog friends may do best as the only dog in the home.
Peony will thrive with someone who has a calm outdoor space for her to get used to first, and build her way up to adventures away from home. Peony will show you her sweet and lovie personality when she feels comfortable in her routine.
PEONY is currently in a foster home and is not at the shelter. To learn more or schedule a meet-and-greet, please email _foster@franklincountyohio.gov.
