Meet Tipper, a gentle and soulful girl who is looking for a patient human to help her find her confidence. Although she currently prefers the security of her cozy hut, Tipper is a sweet and steady presence. She is a low-key companion who isn't one for big, dramatic reactions, but she appreciates a soft touch and a peaceful environment. With a little bit of time and gentle encouragement, she is ready to transition from a shy observer into a loyal, quiet friend.

HOME TYPE: A quiet, low-traffic sanctuary. Tipper is currently in a "decompression" phase and finds the shelter environment overwhelming. She needs a predictable home with a dedicated "safe room" where she can hide and slowly realize she is secure.

CHILDREN: Adult-only or quiet, mature home. Due to her shy nature and tendency to "freeze" when nervous, she would do best in a calm environment without the sudden movements or noise of young children.

OTHER ANIMALS: has experience living with a dog and cat

HUMAN COMPATIBILITY/SOCIABILITY: Gentle and passive. She is not aggressive, but very shy. She allows petting inside her hut but doesn't yet react. She needs an adopter who finds joy in the quiet wins, like the first time she leans into a hand.

FAVOURITE THINGS: Cozy huts, calming music, and gentle, patient head scratches.

IMPORTANT NOTES (ie MEDICAL): * Non-Reducible Hernia: Tipper has a stable hernia that does not require surgery at this time. Adopters should monitor it for any changes in size and discuss it with their regular vet.

All animals at HSLM are under the constant, watchful care of our dedicated Animal Health and Behavior teams.
