Hi, I'm Pancake. I'm a three plus-year-old dwarf mix bunny with a gentle soul and a curious heart. I've lived my whole life indoors and used to enjoy safe outdoor adventures on a harness. I'm fully litter trained and like spending some time exploring outside my pen-though I have a habit of nibbling on cords, so a bunny-proofed space is a must. I'm a sucker for cheek and ear rubs and absolutely love working for treats with my feeder toys. I can be a little wiggly when handled, especially around my back feet, but I'll settle in with someone who's kind and patient.
I do have a chronic dislocation in my right hip along with arthritis, likely from an old injury. While surgery could be an option down the line, right now I'm being lovingly managed with daily pain medication to keep me comfortable. It's important that my future family keeps an eye on how I'm feeling and works with a vet to adjust things if needed-sometimes bunnies like me end up needing a mix of medications long-term. For now, I'm doing well on meloxicam, and regular vet check-ins will help make sure everything stays on track.
I've lived with active kids and find them interesting, though I prefer calm, slow movements. I was once housed with another rabbit, but we didn't get along, so I'm hoping for a home where I can be your one and only. I'm sweet, curious, and resilient-and I'm ready to find a quiet, loving space where I can thrive and be cherished just as I am.
