Aldo is a gentle, grey tabby with a quiet spirit and a history of surviving the outdoors. Estimated to be about two years old, Aldo came to HSLM after being dropped off by a concerned neighbour near a rural property. Life in a feral cat colony left him scared and unsure of people, but his time in care has revealed a soft, sensitive soul slowly learning to trust. Though still timid, Aldo now accepts gentle chin scratches, enjoys soft treats licked from a volunteer's fingers, and occasionally shows a playful side by batting at his snacks.
Aldo recently underwent entropion surgery to correct an uncomfortable eyelid condition, as well as dental work to remove some lower incisors. He's recovering well with his cone on and is currently on a soft food diet. His adopter will need to be patient and cat-savvy, offering a calm, quiet environment where Aldo can continue to blossom at his own pace. With time and understanding, Aldo has the potential to become a loyal and grateful companion.
