From the foster: Lapin is a hoot to have in the home. She is a rather particular lady who knows what she does and does not like in life. And as a senior rabbit, she has more than earned that right! She has a great fondness for sitting in specifically large Amazon boxes. Other brands need not apply. She is a foodie who especially loves hay cubes, carrots and her pellets. She's not a big chewer but loves to dig and toss things around so that things are organized just the way she likes. She has the cutest binkies and prefers to flop down and nap in the middle of the room. It may take her a little time to warm up to new people but once she does you are in for endless entertainment. She is more of a hangout with you than a cuddles and pets kind of gal but she does enjoy some gentle pets on her forehead between her eyes.
Lapin is very adventurous and loves to check out new environments/objects but will set her boundaries. She would do well in a household without young children who can provide a calm environment and respect her wishes. She will absolutely need to be a free roaming rabbit due to her size and preferences.
Lapin may benefit from a confident critter companion with a slow introduction. An adoption counselor would be happy to discuss my ongoing behavioral needs and what the ideal household is for me leaving the ARLGP.
