Meet Marshmallow (aka Mushi)!
Looking for a quiet companion to share your days with? Meet Marshmallow! Better known as Mushi due to her squishy hamster-like face, she is approximated to be 3-4 years old and is the cutest girl you'll ever meet!
Marshmallow had a difficult start to life. She has severely impaired vision that was likely caused as a result of a congenital eye condition or an untreated upper respiratory infection before she was rescued. She also has an adorable, crinkled ear from a hematoma she suffered before she was trapped and brought to safety. Those little imperfections are just part of what makes her uniquely beautiful.
Despite everything she's been through, Mushi is incredibly sweet. She loves being around her people and is happiest simply sharing the same space. She's not a cuddly lap cat, at least not yet. Due to her poor eyesight, touch can make her nervous, so she prefers affection on her terms. We believe she'll continue to build confidence once she's in a home where she can spend more time with her family.
When she's relaxing, you'll often find her watching TV (her favorite show is Bear in the Big Blue House), lounging nearby while you go about your day, or tossing around her favorite catnip toy. Her eyesight certainly doesn't stop her from having fun!
Mushi's perfect home would be:
· A quiet home with no children.
· A home where she can be the only pet, as sudden movements from other animals can be scary for her.
· Someone who understands that trust is earned and is willing to let Mushi blossom at her own pace.
Mushi may not be the cat who greets every stranger with head bumps, but, for the right person, she'll be an incredibly rewarding companion. She deserves someone who sees beyond her disabilities and appreciates the gentle, funny, and resilient little soul she is.
