Meet Darling Dora, a fun, affectionate girl who loves being part of the family.
Dora is wonderful to live with. She's happiest wherever her people are, whether it's curled up beside you while you work, lounging on the couch with one of her toys, following you around the house, or snuggling in for the night. She's also great at entertaining herself. Give her a new toy on a rainy day and she'll happily keep herself busy. She loves affection, gives enthusiastic welcome-home greetings, and has even invented her own version of a hug.
When meeting new people, she needs a little time to get comfortable, but once you're in, you're in! And that's when you get to see just how affectionate, silly, and loving she really is.
Dora LOVES long walks and exploring. She's great on leash and will frequently check in along the way. Other dogs can sometimes be challenging, particularly when they bark or get excited, but she's made lots of progress and is learning to look to her human for guidance.
Dora also loves having a dog buddy. She shared a den at the shelter and now lives with an older resident dog who has become her friend, teacher, snuggle partner and, occasionally, her furniture. The girls cuddle, travel happily together, and genuinely enjoy each other's company.
Dora doesn't need someone looking for a perfect dog. She needs someone who will enjoy getting to know her: an affectionate, silly, smart dog who loves long walks, cozy evenings, dog friends, learning new things, and being close to the humans she trusts. If you're someone who enjoys building a relationship with your dog, not just owning one, Dora might be your girl.
