Meet Ivan

Ivan is an absolutely stunning cream/ginger kitty who is just an absolute love. Ivan is about 3 1/2 months old and is almost ready to find his home for our foster to adopt program (adoption becomes final after he is neutered). Ivan is one of nine kittens raised by our sweet Precious and he's an absolute love. He plays with toys, laser pointers, and especially his family, then he will come in for a snuggle and nap with his human. We've been playing with Ivan on a big kitten exercise wheel and he absolutely loves it. Ivan loves people of all ages, loves other kitties, and most likely would do great with a dog. He might do best with another kitty to play with (especially one of his siblings!) but he's also really good at amusing himself. Ivan is one special kitty.

If you can offer a safe indoor home for Ivan, please get your application in on the homepage of this website www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Once on the website, please select 'How To Adopt' and complete the application.

Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to verify that we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.
Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
