Meet Koko
KoKo is a beautiful little tuxedo with the purrfect black dot on her nose. Her eyes tell you her story, she just wants to be welcomed into a quiet home where she can blossom. She wants to love and be loved, and she's trying so hard to learn how. It's taken quite a while for Koko to come out from hiding but her curiosity finally got the best of her. We have recently moved her to the adult cat room, thinking the relative quiet would suit her personality and now she's venturing out for love from her favorite humans. Everyone is so excited to see her personality come out as she is feeling more comfortable. Like most of our shy kitties, we know she will blossom in the right home and love her new family forever. KoKo is about a year old, spayed and up to date on vaccines.

All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area.
We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
