Meet Beau Beau
Beau Beau is a dog with a story-and even more importantly, a dog with incredible potential. Since starting his board & train program at PetSuites Novi, he's been putting in the work every single day, and we've been so proud watching him grow into a more confident, thoughtful, and connected version of himself.
At his core, Beau Beau is everything you'd hope for: happy, affectionate, playful, and deeply loving with his people. Once he settles in, he builds strong bonds and truly enjoys connection-whether that's exploring the outdoors, leaning in for affection, or showing off his newest skills.
A dog who's learning how to thrive
Beau Beau has been working hard on:
· Building focus and engagement with his handler
· Practicing polite greetings and loose leash walking
· Learning to stay calm and make thoughtful choices around distractions
· Developing strong impulse control and self-regulation
One of the most exciting parts of Beau's journey has been watching him learn how to pause instead of react. He's actively choosing to disengage from things that once overwhelmed him and is becoming more confident navigating the world around him.
He's especially loved scent work and structured activities-anything that lets him use his brain and stay engaged. Give this boy a job, and he will shine.
What Beau Beau needs to succeed
Beau Beau is looking for a home that will continue supporting all the amazing progress he's made. His ideal home will include:
· An adopter with experience handling dogs with more complex backgrounds (including dogs who may have experienced trauma or dog-fighting environments)
· Someone committed to continuing his training and providing structure and consistency
· A securely fenced-in yard where he can safely explore and decompress
· A home that understands his needs around other dogs and will continue setting him up for success
Beau Beau does best when he has clear guidance, thoughtful handling, and a person he can trust-and in return, he gives back so much love, loyalty, and heart.
The Beau Beau we know and love
Across the board, Beau is consistently described as:
Friendly
Affectionate
Playful
Engaged
Very cuddly once he settles in
He absolutely adores his people and is building stronger, more positive relationships every day.
Built-in support for life ??
One of the most incredible parts of Beau Beau's journey is that it doesn't end when he's adopted-it continues with real, lasting support for both him and his future family.
Through his training program, Beau's adopter will receive:
· 50% off training for the rest of his life
· 50% off grooming services at PetSuites for life
· 20% off all other PetSuites services for life
This is what true post-adoption support looks like-ongoing guidance, resources, and a team behind you to help Beau continue to succeed long after he leaves the program.

The bottom line
Beau Beau isn't just learning commands-he's learning how to feel safe, make better choices, and exist more comfortably in the world. And with the right person by his side, he has such a bright future ahead of him.
If you're someone who sees the beauty in a dog's growth and is ready to continue that journey with him, Beau Beau just might be your perfect match.
Interested in adopting me?
I'd love to meet you! To get started, click the blue Dog Adoption Application button at the top of this page to submit your application!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you would like to meet Beau Beau, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care he has received. Potential adopters will be required to go travel to PetSuites Novi and attend a 1 hour training session with Beau Beau and his trainer(s) before an official decision can be made. He will not be able to go home same day as meeting him, but we can arrange for a pick up soon after as long as everything goes well during the session.
**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
