Meet Dante
Dante is not the type of dog who will immediately seek out cuddles or attention - and she's perfectly okay with that. She is a very independent girl who needs time, patience, and space in order to feel safe and comfortable. It can take months for Dante to fully settle into a new home and build trust with new people, but once she does, she can truly thrive in the right environment.
One of the most important things to know about Dante is that she is an experienced escape artist, even at her older age. She has escaped from previous homes and has also managed to get loose while out on walks. Because of this, a fully fenced and secure yard is absolutely required, and her adopter must always be extremely diligent with doors, gates, harnesses, and leashes. Dante is not searching for a busy social life or a constantly active environment. What she truly wants is stability, routine, and a home where she can feel secure. For the right person, helping Dante learn to trust and watching her grow comfortable can be an incredibly rewarding experience.
