Life can be frightening and quite challenging for a kitten who's out on her own! Luckily for me, there were "butter" days ahead! I'm Waffles, a pretty tabby and white girl who was found at The Purple Goat in NE Rochester when I was only about two months old. After I got to the shelter, I went to a foster home, where I was given the name, Waffles - maybe because I'm so sweet! Not everything was all butter and maple syrup along the way. I had a botfly in my neck removed, and I got an infection in the incision after my spay. I am finally healing and gaining some weight after my health issues. I am a darling girl who does not appreciate being held or carried, but I love laps and enjoy sleeping with people. I get along fine with other cats, but I would also be good as an only cat because I am quite independent. I was not fazed by two "obnoxious" 100-pound dogs, so I will likely be okay in a home with dogs. Despite having access to wet food, I prefer dry food but be sure to offer me fresh drinking water as well.
