The word "Hawaii" means "homeland". I'm a pretty calico kitty called Hawaii. I'm a young mama cat who cared for my three kittens until they were all adopted after we came to Paws and Claws from another rescue. I tend to be wary in new places, and I am cautious around people and cats I do not know. I stay off to the side in my room and do not approach others, but there is a very kind woman that I do know, and I am fine when she approaches me. I feel most comfortable staying in the tube toy that's close to the wall, but I do enjoy being petted. She said that I have also taken another big step: I have started playing with wand toys! I am still startled by quick, sudden movements, so anyone who interacts with me will need to take things very slowly. I'm a very sweet girl, and if you are a patient person who can love me as I am and give me plenty of time to get to know you and to feel comfortable in my space, it can truly come to feel like my home, and you can feel like family to me when I am your beautiful Hawaii.
