You may have thought I seemed like a "typical" tortoiseshell girl when I first came to the shelter because I seemed unfriendly. I was nervous and growly. But it wasn't due to "tortitude" and disliking the other cats around me. I was protective of my three kittens. I'm a beautiful young mama cat named Chai. My kittens and I were abandoned at Falcon Landing Apartments in SE Rochester, and luckily, someone brought us here so we can be well cared for. My kittens were adopted quickly. However, I was found to be pregnant again, so I went to a foster home. I gave birth to five kittens on June 9, and now they are ready to find homes. This is my last litter, and I am ready to be someone's lovely Chai kitty. My foster mom says I'm a happy, social girl but don't need constant attention. I don't love being held, but I will crawl on your lap if you're sitting or lying down. I LOVE carrying on conversations. It's adorable how I talk to my babies and to people! I chirp and meow, so you'll learn lots of "cat language" when we chat. I am the sweetest, least demanding, and easy-going girl. I entertain myself by gazing out the window, sniffing catnip, climbing, and scratching on cardboard scratchers. I love wand toys and of course, lapping up Churu treats! I am a perfect blend - fun and mellow. I'm ready to play if you interact with me but ready to relax when you are. I haven't been around adult cats, but I loved being with my little ones and would love to be adopted with one of them. I'm absolutely a wonderful girl, and I know I'll be someone's favorite cup of tea. Life is short. Make it sweet with Chai.
